I have mentioned before that I love to read blogs in the “blosgosphere”. My favorite blogs are about saving money, but also cooking and household tips! I love to find recipes and test them out, and I am totally amazed at all the awesome chefs out there.

One of my favorite things to do is make “kid” food a little bit healthier. I’ll be sharing my recipes here on my blog!

In the meantime, one blog I love is called Simply Sugar and Gluten Free.  Good cookin’ made healthier.

Amy is selling an ebook of kid’s recipes made even better and healthier.  You can download a copy for as little as $1!!!  All proceeds go to St. Jude’s to help battle childhood cancer. I donated $5 for my copy.  Great recipes for you and your kids!  Click here to get your book.

One of the things we love to do is travel.  We are fortunate to go on 3 vacations a year.  We save our pennies elsewhere so that we can spend on what we love.

I plan to have an ongoing series on saving on travel.  This is especially on my mind since we are off to Disney for Thanksgiving!

We go to Disney every year because we have a timeshare there.  I would have never thought to own a timeshare.  $10,000-$20,000 upfront to own a week you still pay a maitenance fee on?  If you know me, you know that is crazy.

However, I own three weeks of timeshare, and I paid pennies on the dollar for them.  How you ask?  I bought on ebay!  That is right, I bought them all on ebay in the resale market.  My first timeshare, an every other year week at the Sheraton Vistana in Orlando cost me $800.  That’s right – just $800.  It is a two bedroom, two bathroom unit that can sleep eight.  Full kitchen (a must for me), moments from Disney.  The property is gorgeous, and we have never regretted this purchase.

We cannot trade within Sheraton’s system because we bought resale, but we can join the external trading companies and trade there.  The cost to join a trading company is the same as joining Sheraton’s program so there is no loss.

I giggle every time we go, because they try to get us to go to the timeshare show.  I always tell them they do no want me at the show since what I bought for $800 they sell for $10,000.

Enjoy your holiday!  If I get a chance I’ll post from Disney, but I wouldn’t count on it!

OK – I have things to do, but I had to post this deal because it is too good to be true.  SeeHere, Fuji Film’s photo site, is giving away 100 free photo cards, free shipping included.  No joke.

Here is how you do it..

  1. Create an account here
  2. Go ahead and create your photo card.  I think the codes only work with the 4×8 cards.  The site is a bit slow, but I think that is because of all the traffic.  It is not impossibly slow, though.
  3. Save your project.  Then put 50 cards into your card.  The code you will use is newbaby.  Check out as normal.  Log out when you are done.
  4. Go back in, put 50 more cards in your cart, checkout,  and use the code found here
  5. Your done!  100 free cards.

Awesome deal.  You do not have to enter your credit card anywhere.

Too bad only my friends read this blog – you all know now I did not pay for my Christmas card!

Hurry, newbaby code ends November 20, and the second code expires November 30.

I’m back and better, baby. Adios, Blogspot. OK – here’s another awesome magazine deal. 24 month subsctiption to Redbook for $5. Click here to order.  The top says $10, but when you scroll down you will see $5 off the order.  I’m ordering tonight!
